NALU (na-lu)  -orig. Hawaiian language.  A wave; to form waves, i.e. a powerful energy wave, moving ridge or swell on the surface of a liquid (as of the sea); to ponder, meditate, reflect;  A movement sweeping large numbers in a common direction...  This wonderful word inspired the evolution of our company.   NALU started in 2010 to bring a new momentum to live and virtual experiences. By treating them as theater (not events, conferences, meetings or seminars), we have been able to produce tangible business gains for some of the world’s more notable organizations – from Microsoft and Verizon to Meeting Planners International, Swarovski and the Smithsonian Institution. 

In designing experiences that are both compelling and comfortable, we have evolved a companion business, Nalu Builds, for custom Sets and Furniture (rental and purchase) for film & TV, events, resorts, universities and unique properties around the world.

OUR FAMILY is a diverse team of designers, producers, artists and writers, we’re children at heart, seeking the wonder and whimsy in every situation. We experience culture live, from theater to new music to museums and nature walks. And we manage over 50 acres of fruit trees farms and cloud forest where we rescue dogs, raise Japanese koi, and grow orchids … all to help sustain our community and foster creativity.
